Indiana's Roll Continues, Davis Decides

Just a week after reeling in Cody Zeller, Devin Davis, a talented 2013 prospect, made his decision as well.

Indiana's recruiting roll continued on Sunday.

Devin Davis, a 2013 prospect out of Indianapolis (Ind.) Warren Central, gave a verbal commitment to Tom Crean and his program while on campus for an unofficial visit.

"Basically this is where he felt comfortable at," Devin Davis Sr. told "Yhe coaches really pushed him [at elite camps] and talked to him about getting better. The education piece is what we are looking for as a family too. "

Davis Sr. said his son picked Indiana over strong interest from Ohio State, Purdue, Xavier and Illinois.

Indiana has spent a considerable amount of time working relationships within the state and they really targeted Davis early on.

"The relationship building that the coaches did [played a big factor]," the elder Davis said. "I think they did an excellent job trying to build relationship with him. They made him feel at home every time we came and visited."

"It felt like family to me so I was just waiting on him to make his decision," he added.

Davis committed the same day as 2013 combo forward Collin Hartman. They are the first two commitments for Indiana's 2013 class.

Crean and the Hoosiers now have commitments ranging to the 2014 class.
