Ledo Shows Scoring Ability

One of the top scorers in the country was up to his old tricks in New Haven (Conn.) at the National Prep Showcase this past weekend. Scout.com caught up with Ricardo Ledo, a highly regarded 2012 prospect.

One of the top performers at the National Prep Showcase this past weekend was 6-foot-6 lengthy wing prospect Ricardo Ledo.

A true scorer and arguably one of the best wings in the 2012 class, Ledo, a standout at South Kent (Conn.) Academy, went for 30 points on the opening day of the event in New Haven (Conn.).

Ledo transferred to South Kent over the summer and he said the decision has been an easy transition.

"I'm adapting well," Ledo told Scout.com. "I have good teammates, a good coach and a good basketball family."

Ledo also said he's started to jump into the recruiting process more. Kentucky, Louisville, Florida, Texas, Villanova, Syracuse, Providence and Rhode Island are among the schools recruiting him.

"There's a lot more schools," he added after finishing his list.

At this point, Ledo doesn't claim any favorites, but he did say that he's planning to head to the Bluegrass state to visit a pair of schools in the near future.

‘I'm going to visit Kentucky and Louisville at the same time," Ledo said. "It's not planned yet, but I'm going to take the visits."

A five-star prospet, Ledo is currently ranked No. 10 overall in the junior class.
