Six Offers In For Randle

Following one of his games at the Thanksgiving Hoopfest, Julius Randle spent some time with updating his college offers and interest.

It shouldn't come as a surprise to many that follow recruiting closely that Julius Randle already holds a half dozen scholarship offers.

Despite being just a sophomore the 6-foot-8, 220-pound power forward has had Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Ohio State, Kansas and Baylor step up and throw an offer his way.

"Everybody is pretty much recruiting me right now," Randle told after his Saturday game at the Thanksgiving Hoopfest. "I'm just taking it all in and looking at everybody. I don't plan on making a decision anytime soon.

To go with the schools that have offered, Randle has plenty of other interested parties, including Duke, North Carolina, Kentucky, North Carolina State, Syracuse and Wake Forest.

With the season in full swing, Randle, a standout at Plano (Tex.) Prestonwood doesn't have any unofficial visits coming up, but he has taken trips to Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Kentucky and North Carolina.

Randle's high school teammate and close friend Zach Peters has made a commitment to Kansas for their 2012 class. With Randle coming out a year later, will that affect his decision-making?

"It does, but it also has to be the best decision for me," Randle said. "Yes, Zach's there and that probably gives them a little boost, but I just have to make the best decision for me."

Randle is currently rated as the top prospect in the 2013 class.
