The Showdown In Motown

They are calling it the ‘Showdown in Motown." One hundred teams have gathered in Detroit, Michigan to try and win the championship and to show and prove recruiting guru's and fans around the country that they are worthy of being recognized as the next batch of players that will be highly recruited by college coaches all across America.

The tournament is being held during the "dead period" so coaches cannot be out looking at these future stars. (And believe me, college coaches would love to be here because this is the perfect time to get a jump on their early recruiting).

I attended the opening night and was able to catch a few teams in action. The games are being played all over the Oakland area so I wasn't able to travel around much. I grabbed a chair and took a seat on the baseline at Orion High School and watched two games at one time.
