Entire Big 12 Chasing Smart

Following one of his games at the Thanksgiving Hoopfest, Marcus Smart chatted with Scout.com about his recruiting situation.

Marcus Smart's recruiting process is trudging along.

A top 25 recruit in the 2012 class, Smart began receiving strong interest from schools this past spring. Now he claims offers from the entire Big 12 conference.

"It's a fun experience for a kid to go through school," Smart told Scout.com. "I'm just blessed to be able to go through it at this stage in my life. It can get a little frustrating at times."

What about it gets to Smart the most?

"The decision-making and trying to decide, where, when and how to do it," Smart said following one of his games at the Thanksgiving Hoopfest.

Smart, a five-star prospect at Flower Mound (Tex.) Marcus, admitted that it was still early in the recruiting process, but he made it clear he's starting to pay more attention to it.

"It's still really early, but at the same time I am starting to feel it out more," he said. "I'm just trying to enjoy the ride."

Thus far, Smart has only taken an unofficial visit to Baylor. He was supposed to go to Oklahoma State recently, but had to cancel because of a family function.

"I'd like to visit as many schools as I possibly could," Smart said.

Smart is currently ranked No. 17 overall on Scout.com.
