Williams-Goss Makes Early Choice

Nigel Williams-Goss made an early choice on Wednesday. He'll play his college basketball in Nevada.

Nigel Williams-Goss opted to make an early decision.

A 2013 prospect out of Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep, Williams-Goss gave Lon Kruger and UNLV a verbal commitment Wednesday morning, according to Findlay coach Todd Simon.

"He likes coach Kruger's style," Simon told Scout.com. "They play uptempo and similar to how we play."

"I think he realizes they are on the way up," he added. "Kind of like how Memphis was and then they got a couple of elite guys."

Williams-Goss currently averages 15.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists during his sophomore season at Findlay Prep, who is 14-1 on the early season.

"He said this is where I want to go and he didn't want to go through the whole process," Simon said.

"His family moved down here and they are part of the community now. He could have gone wherever he wanted."

Williams-Goss is UNLV's first verbal commitment in the 2013 class.
