Anderson Asks For Release

Braeden Anderson may soon be looking for a new school. The 2011 prospect has inquired about receiving his release from DePaul.

Braeden Anderson and DePaul are about to part ways.

With DePaul's decision to pick up Miami transfer Donovan Kirk, Anderson is inquiring and expected to get a release from DePaul, who he signed with in November.

According to a source and confirmed by Anderson himself, the 6-foot-8 power forward asked for his release from DePaul on Friday.

"Yeah I asked for my release yesterday," Anderson said.

Per our sources, Anderson will receive his release from the Blue Demons, but likely not until Monday.

"I think I'm going to look at some schools in the PAC-10 and the SEC," Anderson told

Anderson, a three-star prospect, should now become a hot name on the recruiting trail, especially with the lack of post prospects still available in the 2011 class.

When Anderson, a standout at Wilbraham (Mass.) Wilbraham And Monson Academy, picked DePaul on November 5th he committed to think over interest from Cincinnati, Hawaii, Houston, Temple and Connecticut.
