Three Top Crocker's List

Camryn Crocker, a talented senior point guard from Southern California, has a list of three schools...

Camryn Crocker, 6-2 SR PG Los Alamitos (Calif.) High, is one of the better unsigned point guards remaining in the 2011 West Coast class. A lefty with good quickness and passing ability, Crocker is a true point with a good feel for the game.

I spoke with Crocker recently and asked him about the schools that are recruiting him.

"The main three schools are Penn, UC Irvine and the University of Denver," said Crocker.

Crocker recently returned from an official visit to Penn and he talked about that visit.

"I was at Penn last weekend and it was great," said Crocker. "I loved it there. I got to know the coaches a little better and had a chance to hang with the players. I also went to a game at the Palestra and it was really nice."

Crocker said that he took an unofficial visit to UCI last August and I asked him for his impressions of that visit.

"I was actually kind of surprised," said Crocker. "Even though I live in SoCal, I had never been to UCI and it was much nicer than I expected. I came away very impressed with the campus and the facilities, so it was a really good visit too."

Crocker said that he may visit Denver as well.

"I believe I'm going to visit Denver, but I'm just not sure when yet," said Crocker.

Crocker isn't sure when he might make his decision.

"I'm taking my time with the process," said Crocker. "I want to make the best decision I can for myself, so I don't really have a time frame. It could be soon or may be in the spring."

Crocker said he has a 3.5 GPA.
