Morris Looking To Increase His Profile
Landmark Christian center Randolph Morris stands tall at 6-11 and 250 pounds. He averaged 23 points a game last year as a junior. He's a giant on the court and in the classroom as well. However, his high school coach Brian Bartley says he's got some business to take care of.
"He's got something to prove this summer. He wants to be noticed in the Top 10 in the country not in the back 10. He's got to be a rebounding fanatic to do that, and you'll see it this weekend."
Bartley says that Morris has a lot of things to prove but most of them are to himself. "He thinks right now that he has to work a little harder to be better than he should be. He believes he should be Top 10 but hasn't played like that yet. He's got to earn it."
Morris will take the stage this weekend in Houston at the Houston SuperStars event. He'll play with familiar friends on the Atlanta Celtics who also have Dwight Howard and Josh Smith in the frontcourt.
Of the Tech offer Bartley had this to say: "They have probably been the only one to come to the table and say anytime you are ready the time is right."
Morris is an A- student in the classroom.
