Iowa adds 2012 big man

Kyle Meyer, a talented big man out of Georgia, made his college choice. He's planning to leave the south and play his college ball in Iowa.

Iowa added some size to their future front court on Monday.

Kyle Meyer, a 6-foot-10 center prospect out of Duluth (Ga.) Northview, gave the Hawkeyes a verbal pledge. He confirmed the news with Scout.com.

"Iowa is just the right fit for me," Meyer said. "They are going in the right direction and I feel that the coaches will do everything they can to help me develop as a player."

Meyer had taken a handful of visits to Iowa prior to making his commitment. He also strongly considered East Carolina and Clemson.

A three-star prospect, Meyer is the first 2012 prospect to opt for Iowa.
