Watts, who runs Net Gain Sports out of Minnesota, said the 2013 guard prospect is among the top underclassman prospects in the area.
"He's a playmaker," Watts told Scout.com. "At the next level he's going to be a combo. The thing that makes him different is that he can flat out shoot the ball."
"He's a high major kid," he added. "There's no question about it."
Watts said Dearing averaged just over 10 points a game for De La Salle.
"He's a great on the ball defender," he said. "He can handle it, score it, shoot it and play a couple of spots."
