Wake Forest made impression on Katenda

Eric Katenda dropped by Winston-Salem for a weekend at Wake Forest and found himself getting along very well with the Demon Deacons.

Eric Katenda went on his visit to Wake Forest last weekend and really enjoyed it.

Sunrise Christian Academy Coach Kyle Linstead received an update from Katenda about his thoughts on the Demon Deacons.

"He had a great time," Linstead said. "He has gotten to know Coach (Jeff) Bzdelik a little bit better and got along with the guys really well."

Katenda's biggest criteria is how he fits into a program.

"Throughout the whole process, what he [Coach Bzdelik] does on offense will fit Eric because he is so big," Linstead said.

Katenda told Linstead he was surprised about how much he liked Winston-Salem and wouldn't mind moving halfway across the country. After all, Katenda is from France and

Katenda is expected to take visits to Iowa next weekend with a following to Notre Dame the weekend after.

After these three visits, Katenda is prepared to make a decision quickly.
