At 6-foot-5 and 185 pounds, McLemore has the combination of length, athleticism, and shooting ability to be a problem for defenders on the wing. He exploded onto the scene during his junior season and continued to assert himself as a senior.
McLemore started the season at Mouth of the Wilson (VA) Oak Hill Academy before leaving the school mid-year to enroll at Houston (TX) Christian Life Center.
Even with the transfer, Kansas and Missouri stayed hot after McLemore. However when Missouri head coach Mike Anderson left the Tigers to take over his post at Arkansas it become rather academic as to which school McLemore would select.
McLemore selected the Jayhawks at the Next All-American Classic in Chicago. By pledging to the Jayhawks, McLemore joins point guard Naadir Tharpe in Kansas' class that hopes to grow by another one or two before it is all said and done.
