Wildcats land a pair

The Northwestern Wildcats landed a pair of commitments from talented European big men.

The Northwestern Wildcats landed a pair of commitments on Tuesday evening. Both Milos Kostic and Alex Olah made verbal commitments to the program according to a source.

Kostic is a 2013 post player from Hammond (IN) Bishop Noll who is a skilled player that really passes well out of the post and has a nice touch around the rim.

Olah is a class of 2012 center who is described as a Aaron Gray clone who checks in at 6-foot-11 and 260 pounds out of Trader's Point Christian in Zionsville, Indiana.

The credit for the commitments goes to Northwestern assistant coach Ivan Vujic who has brought in several European players to the Wildcats program.

One thing that helped Kostic in specific feel very comfortable with Northwestern is the presence of Luca Mirkovic. Like Mirkovic, Kostic is a native of Serbia, and they have known each other for years. Also Kostic has family in the Chicago area, and liked what he saw on unofficial visits to the school.

Kostic is the first pledge for the Wildcats in the 2013 class as is Olah in 2012.
