All season long Simeon was a dominant force. They only lost two games and were consistently ranked as one of the best teams in the country. On that team Nunn was a role player, but he stepped up big several times on the way to the state title.
"It was wonderful," said Nunn of the season. "Everybody on the team came to play and we won the state championship."
After winning the title, Nunn received news that he was selected for USA Basketball. He received that honor along with teammate Jabari Parker, and it was a big deal for him.
"It is pretty good honor," said Nunn. "I give Jabari a lot of credit for helping me to get invited."
On the recruiting trail the 6-foot-1 shooting guard is taking in a lot of interest right now. Since he didn't play varsity as a freshman and was only a role player this past season, he hasn't had a lot of time in front of college coaches, but still high-major schools are showing him attention.
When it comes to what Nunn will be looking for in a school, it will come down to the coaches and how he feels about them along with a school where he can win.
"I am looking for a great coaching staff and a place where there are other players who can come in and play alongside of me," said Nunn about what he is looking for.
In a loaded class in Illinois in 2013, Nunn is considered one of the best, and his play at the EYBL – Hampton backed up what he showed flashes of during the high school season.
