Pruitt Gets National Interest

Gabriel Pruitt is one of the top guards on the West Coast, so it's no surprise that elite schools from across the country are expressing interest...

We spoke with Gabriel Pruitt, 6-3 JR SG Los Angeles (Calif.) Westchester, in Las Vegas over the weekend and he gave us an update on his recruitment.

Pruitt said UConn and USC coaches came to his school last week. "I really like the UConn coach," said Pruitt. "It seems like a good program -- I could see myself going there.

Pruitt told us that Oregon also came to Westchester, but Pruitt wasn't available at the time. He later spoke with the Duck coaches on the phone.

An ACC school has also entered the mix. "I spoke with Maryland last week after they talked with my AAU coach," said Pruitt. "I'd consider them also."

USC has asked Pruitt to come on an unofficial visit and the guard said he's also been invited to a junior day event at UCLA, as well as a camp at Utah.
