Thornwell hoping for dream offer

6-foot-3, 160-pound Lancaster (S.C.) wing Sindarius Thornwell says an offer from a certain school could possibly end his recruitment. Who is it?

To date, 6-foot-3, 160-pound Lancaster (S.C.) wing Sindarius Thornwell has picked up offers from South Carolina, Clemson, UNC-Greensboro, Tennessee State and Georgia Southern.

Providence, Louisville and Miami are amongst the other schools showing Thornwell heavy interest, but he's hoping for one offer in particular.

"I'm just viewing my options," Thornwell said. "I'm trying to get North Carolina; that's the school I want to go to. "

Would Thornwell commit to North Carolina if offered?

"Possibly," he said. "There's a good chance."

Thornwell cites a few reasons for his interest in North Carolina.

"I like their playing style," Thornwell said. "They produce pros and I always liked North Carolina growing up."

Despite his interest in UNC, Thornwell hasn't been recruited by the Tar Heels yet.

"They called my school once for my transcripts," he said.

This summer, Thornwell's school will attend numerous team camps, including South Carolina, Clemson and Winthrop.

He also said he'll take an unofficial visit to South Carolina "whenever I can go."

Thornwell was recently ranked 31st in the 2013 class by, but he says he's aiming higher.

"I'm trying to make it to the top spot," he said. "I've just got to work harder."
