More Notes: From Azubuike To Stoudemire

INDIANAPOLIS – Here's a new one for you. FL C Amare Stoudemire is the first high school basketball player we've ever heard of who actually has a public relations agent. Here's an installment of notes and schools lists from Day Two at Nike Camp.

Amare Stoudemire

Marc Little, a public relations specialist, is serving as Stoudemire's PR agent. Little sat next to Stoudemire as the big center answered media questions on Saturday. Then, the horde turned to Little and he patiently answered questions in reference to Stoudemire and himself. This is the first time we've heard of a high school basketball player retaining the services of a PR agent. Actually, Little is doing the work pro-bono.

In other Stoudemire news, it looks like the Atlanta Celtics merger with Fastbreak USA is toast. Stoudemire says he's going to play with Fastbreak this summer. He said that he made the switch from Nike to adidas and now back to Nike because he wanted to play against some of the guys in the Nike stable.

Theodis Tarver

The big man from Louisiana says that he's receiving interest from Georgia Tech, Louisiana State, Charlotte, Mississippi State, Mississippi and Louisiana Tech.

Rick Cornett

Big Rick's in no hurry to make a decision but he has shortened his list a little. The revised listing of schools includes Notre Dame, Southern Cal, Arizona, Illinois, Marquette, Kansas State, Seton Hall, Michigan and Iowa.

Yusuf Baker

This Florida-based forward says he's wide open but lists Florida and South Florida as two schools he's interested in.

Eric Hicks

This Greensboro native likes Wake Forest, NC State, Virginia Tech, Clemson and UNC-Wilmington. A year ago he tore his ACL and MCL. Now, he's healthy, athletic and could be in for a big summer.

Rashard Sullivan

This product of St. Thomas Aquinas seems relatively new to the recruiting game. He is interested in Syracuse, Villanova, Miami, Florida International, Florida State, Central Florida, South Florida and Wisconsin. Not sure of the interest level from the schools.

Kelenna Azubuike

This summer, Azubuike says he will play with Prep Stars International. Illinois, Kansas, UCLA, Kentucky and Stanford are the schools he's most interested in. He's still open to the possibility of exploring his NBA options, but there is no guarantee he'll have that option next year.

Michael Hall

This Illinois Warrior swingman likes Illinois, Michigan State, Marquette, Arizona and Texas.

Kevin Pittsnogle

He says he's probably a month away from making a decision. Clemson and West Virginia are strong. Virginia Tech, Virginia and Wake Forest are the other schools he's mentioning.
