Stover holds three offers

2012 Los Angeles Windward small forward Nick Stover holds three offers, with a number of other schools also showing him attention. He breaks down where his recruiting process stands.

The younger brother of UCLA sophomore Anthony Stover, 6-foot-5, 185-pound Los Angeles Windward 2012 small forward Nick Stover is having a strong spring after making strides in his game over the past year.

Due to his brother's recent experience with the recruiting process, Nick's family is well-versed this time around.

"(My parents) are very familiar with the process now," Stover said. "They know exactly every little step to it because of Anthony. What they did with him, they're doing with me now."

To date, Stover has three scholarship offers, with a handful of other schools recruiting him.

"I have offers from LMU, Boise State and San Francisco," Stover said. "I'm hearing from Colorado, Pitt, Washington, Nevada, Boston College and Pepperdine."

Stover doesn't have any leaders at this point, as he's waiting to see what other schools will offer him scholarships.

"I'm open, I'm just trying to see who else I get," he said. "Nobody really stands out yet. I'm just seeing who else comes the rest of the summer."

After Stover has a good idea of what schools have offered, then he can move forward with the recruiting process.

"My mom, dad and I discussed seeing what schools offer by the end of the summer and then maybe deciding before basketball season starts or towards December," Stover said.

When evaluating schools, Stover will look at a number of aspects of each program.

"I'm looking for a school where I can come in and play, that best fits me academic wise, if it's a campus I like, where the area is and what conference they're in; if it's Pac-12 or something like that, that would be really nice," he said. "I'm just trying to find a college that fits me best."
