Knight Headed To MAC School

Isaac Knight, one of the best mid-major recruits in the Midwest, reached a decision. After visiting with a coach on Tuesday he made a decision.

Two days after second-year Kent State head coach Jim Christian took the job, he offered a scholarship to a promising power forward prospect from Detroit (MI) Crockett. On April 29, Isaac Knight accepted Kent State's offer.

Sources told that Christian visited with Knight on Tuesday and at some point during that meeting, Knight told Christian he's coming to Kent State. He was Kent's top recruit in the Class of 2004.

We rate Knight a mid-major-plus, the highest rating we give to a player at that level. He performed well for Team Detroit at the adidas Houston Classic.

Knight's commitment could pay even greater dividends for Kent State this week. Apparently, Knight and forward Rayshawn Marshall of Detroit Southeastern are very good friends. Kent State was meeting with Marshall on Tuesday as well and will likely move for a commitment.

Regardless, Kent has a commitment from its top-ranked target in the Class of 2004.
