A solid year with Las Vegas (NV) Bishop Gorman has gone into an impressive spring and summer for Allen. At NBA Camp he had his moments, and overall Allen feels as though he has played well and his game is coming along.
"I think I am doing better," Allen explained. "I feel like since the high school season has ended that I have progressed well and that I am doing a good job."
"It is a great school both academically and athletically," said Allen of the Cardinal. "I am just looking forward to meeting the staff and seeing the campus."
Also Allen had previously made a visit to North Carolina. He took the visit during the season and came away impressed with what he saw in Chapel Hill.
"Distance doesn't really matter to me," Allen explained. "I got to see them play Duke and it was quite exciting. Their facilities are very nice."
With a long list of schools on his mind, Allen is hoping to have a chance to narrow things down to a more concentrated list shortly.
"I would like to narrow things down before July, but as far as a decision I don't know," Allen explained. "I want to wait until I am completely comfortable."
While Allen isn't completely sure of when he wants to make his decision, he does know what will put that school over the top in his mind.
"I would like to make a visit to wherever I go and have a comfort level with a coach, the players, and the entire community," said Allen.
Currently Allen is ranked as the No. 70 player in the nation and the No. 17 power forward.
