Many Options For Wallace

Tyrone Wallace, one of the elite guards in the west for 2012, gives us an update on his expanding recruitment...

Tyrone Wallace, 6-4 SR PG/SG Bakersfield (Calif.) High, had a strong showing in the first half of the July evaluation period and he has a number of programs recruiting him.

"I'm hearing from Cal, UCLA, UNLV, Fresno State, Oregon, Arizona State, Gonzaga, Arizona, Texas, St. Mary's and Harvard," said Wallace.

I asked Wallace if any schools stand out for him.

"I like Arizona State, Cal and UCLA," said Wallace. "But I really don't have a leader. Nobody really stands out right now."

When asked if he has a feel for which schools are recruiting him the hardest, Wallace replied, "Arizona State, Cal, Oregon and UNLV are recruiting me really hard."

I asked Wallace if he has any schools in mind for official visits in the fall.

"I'll probably visit Arizona State, UCLA, Cal and Oregon," said Wallace. "But I'm not really sure just yet, so I could visit others as well."

Wallace said he doesn't see himself making an early decision.

"I'll probably wait until spring to see what my options are then," said Wallace.
