With AAU season now over, 6-foot-7, 190-pound San Francisco St. Ignatius Prep 2013 small forward Stephen Domingo is ready to start taking some unofficial visits.
So far, he has four schools in mind, starting with California this week.
"I'm going to Cal on Friday," Domingo said. "They're having a Europe tour and they're allowed to practice right now so I'll check out a practice on Friday. They've been recruiting me hard. My dad and coach (John) Montgomery have been talking and I like them."
Domingo won't only be seeing schools close to home. In September, he is considering heading out to Massachusetts for a visit.
"I just talked to Harvard and I'm thinking of taking a visit there in September," he said. "It's a big recruiting weekend for them so I'm thinking about coming out there and getting a feel for everything they have going on over there."
Another school that is in line for an unofficial visit is Washington, which Domingo says has done a good job recruiting him.
"I talked to coach (Lorenzo) Romar and coach (Paul) Fortier between the two Vegas periods," Domingo said. "They told me how important I was to them. I'll probably schedule a visit to go up there, that's in the works right now."
While Domingo says he is still in the process of setting up his trips to Harvard and Washington, he says that he's planned a specific date to see Arizona.
"I'm going to visit Arizona on October 21st," Domingo said. "I'm going to watch the Red and Blue scrimmage that they have. I've been talking to coach (Joe) Pasternack and coach (Sean) Miller. We've been staying in touch and I talked to them most recently (Monday). I'll head out there I think for two days."
Domingo says that he's also started to hear from an ACC power.
"Duke started showing interest," Domingo said. "They watched me almost every game in Indiana but my coach says they really like me."
As of now, Domingo is going through the recruiting process and isn't in a rush to get anything over with.
"I'm just moving steadily," he said. "I'll probably cut down my list before I make my decision. I don't know if I'll commit soon but I'm not just going to decide out of the blue."
