After an eventful spring and summer that saw him open up his recruitment and rise up the national rankings, 6-foot-5, 195-pound Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei shooting guard Katin Reinhardt is ready for the next step in his recruitment.
Scout.com's 45th ranked 2012 prospect, Reinhardt ended his AAU career with a few new offers.
"St. John's and West Virginia offered and that was kind of cool," Reinhardt said. "Texas has also offered and some big time schools are really recruiting me hard and that means a lot."
Reinhardt is currently planning a few visits, the first of which should be later this week.
"Every summer I go to my grandma's house, who lives in Vegas. Since UNLV is recruiting me I think I'm going to go down and check the school out I think this week," Reinhardt said.
After he returns home from Las Vegas, Reinhardt is hoping to make it to Texas for a couple more visits.
"I think I'm going to take one or two more unofficials in August," he said. "I'd like to see Texas and Baylor. My cousins and aunt and uncle live in Texas so I can make a whole trip out of that."
Heading into his visits, Reinhardt isn't opposed to ending his recruitment should he find what he's looking for in a school.
"If I go on a campus and I just love a school I think there's a possibility of me ending it there and ending the recruiting process, but I could just want to wait and see the other schools first before making a decision," he said.
