2012 Intro: Brett Boese

Senior forward Brett Boese has a couple offers so far and has a few schools in mind that he's hoping to receive offers from in the future...

Brett Boese, 6-6 SR PF Spokane (Wash.) Shadle Park, is one of the better shooters in the West Coast class of 2012 and he has a number of schools expressing interest in him.

"I'm hearing from Portland, Washington State, Utah, Utah State, Seattle, UTEP, Wyoming and St. Mary's," said Boese. "Portland and Seattle have offered. And most of the Big Sky schools have offered."

I asked Boese if any schools stand out for him at this time.

"I really like Portland and Washington State," said Boese. "Those are probably my top two right now. But I also like St. Mary's, Utah and Utah State a lot."

When asked what he is looking for in a school, Boese replied, "I really want to play at the highest level and be successful while competing with the best players. I want to play in a good conference and my ultimate goal is to play in the NCAA tournament. I'd like to stay somewhat close to the West Coast."

Boese has been on unofficial visits to Washington State, Boise State and Eastern Washington. He's in the process of lining up official visits now.

"I'm going to Portland the weekend of September 15th," said Boese. "And I'm going to take an official to Washington State pretty soon – I've been talking with Coach Bone about that. I'd also like to visit St. Mary's. My goal is to play in the WCC or Pac-10."

Boese said he plans on signing in November. He said he has a 3.9 GPA.
