Trojans Land Top PG

USC pulled off a major coup when they received a commitment from center Robert Swift. The Trojans keep their recruiting momentum going with a commitment from Gabriel Pruitt, one of the top point guards on the West Coast...

Gabriel Pruitt, 6-3 JR PG Los Angeles (Calif.) Westchester, has committed to USC. Pruitt, one of the best shooters in the west, has the versatility to end up playing either guard spot in college.

We spoke with Pruitt this afternoon and asked him about his decision. "It's a chance for me to stay right here at home," Pruitt said. "I talked with Coach Bibby and decided to go ahead and commit. I knew they were recruiting other point guards and I didn't want the opportunity to pass me up."

Pruitt mentioned North Carolina, Oregon, Maryland and UCLA as other schools that he was interested in before making his commitment to USC.
