Hunt opts for local school

Marcus Hunt opted to stay home. He made his college choice early Friday morning.

Marcus Hunt is staying home.

Hunt, a standout at College Park (Ga.) North Clayton, picked Georgia Tech on Friday, per a source close to the situation.

Over the past year Hunt, a four-star prospect, was courted by a number of high major programs including Florida, Florida State, Louisville, Georgia, Alabama and Memphis.

Hunt it currently ranked No. 22 at the small forward position in the 2012 recruiting class.

The Yellow Jackets picked up their second verbal commitment from an in-state prospect this month. They also hold a pledge from Chris Bolden.
