Shipp Gets High Major Interest
Josh Shipp, 6-4 JR SG Los Angeles (Calif.) Fairfax, told us last night that he's still wide open, but some of the schools he's considering include Washington, Louisville, USC, Arizona State, UCLA and Oregon. Shipp was visited during the recent contact period by Washington, USC and Arizona State. Washington has offered a scholarship, according to Shipp. Shipp hasn't taken any official, or unofficial, visits. He said he'll wait until after the summer to take his trips. When we asked if he planned on taking his time with the decision, Shipp replied, "that's the plan, but if the right offer comes along, I'll take it." While most of the schools he's considering are in the west, Shipp said that he's open to going anywhere for college. Shipp said he had a 3.5 GPA in his last semester and is around 3.0 overall. He hasn't taken the SAT yet, but will take the test in June.
