Morris-Walker Lining Up Visits

Langston Morris-Walker, a talented sleeper out of Northern California, has two official visits coming up in the next few weeks...

Langston Morris-Walker, 6-3 SR SG/SF Berkeley (Calif.) High, is one of the better wing prospects in the west for 2012. However, he played on a deep Oakland Soldiers team this past summer and he didn't get a lot of playing time.

Even in limited minutes, though, Morris-Walker still drew the attention of a number of college coaches.

"I'm hearing from Oregon State, UTEP, Washington State, Colorado, St. Mary's, UC Santa Barbara and some others," said Morris-Walker. "Everyone except Washington State and Colorado have offered, but I expect to get offers from those two soon."

I asked Morris-Walker if any school stands out from the group.

"No, I don't have a favorite," said Morris-Walker. "I'm really wide open right now."

Morris-Walker said he has been to St. Mary's for an unofficial visit and he has a couple official visits lined up.

"I'm going to Oregon State the weekend of September 3rd and then to UTEP the following weekend," said Morris-Walker.

I asked Morris-Walker what he is looking for in a school.

"A good campus and someplace that I can develop," said Morris-Walker. "Someplace with good academics and preferably in the west."

Morris-Walker said he doesn't have a specific time frame in mind for picking a school.

"Sooner rather than later," said Morris-Walker. "I plan on signing in November."

Morris-Walker said he has a 3.3 GPA.
