Sleeper Ceylon Taylor

Ceylon Taylor had a terrific showing at the Pump Easter tournament in Las Vegas. A number of West Coast schools are showing interest in the high scoring guard from San Jose...

Ceylon Taylor, 6-1 JR PG/SG San Jose (Calif.) Pioneer, played extremely well in Las Vegas two weeks ago. Very quick, and hard to guard, with good enough ball handling skills that he could end up a point guard.

We spoke with Taylor recently and he told us that he's been hearing from San Jose State, USF, St. Mary's, San Diego, UNLV, UC Santa Barbara, Northridge and Irvine.

When we asked if there was any school in particular that he's interested in, Taylor said, "Fresno St. -- I like them."

Taylor said the opportunity to play as a freshman will be important when he makes his decision. He also said he'd like to stay in the west.
