Cauley has list of four

Four schools are left standing for MoKan Elite center Willie Cauley.

For four-star center Willie Cauley the list of schools he is considering has been trimmed to four. The 6-foot-11 center has Florida, Alabama, Kansas State, and Kentucky left remaining on his list, and according to MoKan Elite AAU Coach Matt Suther, the visits will tell the story.

"He just completed in-home visits with Kentucky, Florida, Kansas State, and Alabama," explained Suther. "Those are the four schools remaining and he will make official visits to all four schools."

According to Suther the in-home visits went as expected and the schools remaining are still on an evening playing field.

"All of the visits went great, but it is all going to come down to how he feels following the on campus visits," said Suther. "He has four good options with four good head coaches. He has connected in different ways with all the schools so it will come down to the on campus schools go and how he feels at the end of it."

He continued, "It is a unique situation in that he is wide open within his list of four schools. He is still trying to figure out which of the four he likes the best."

When on the visits Suther says that not just one thing is going to make the difference, Cauley is going to be looking at everything that the school has to offer.

"I think it is just the overall fit," said Suther. "He has picked four good schools from a basketball standpoint, so he will want to interact with the players. Also he will want to see all the facilities and the academic support. Obviously everybody is going to put their best effort forward during an on campus visit. It will just be the feel he gets from all the schools. I can't say there is one individual thing he is looking for, just the overall package of what he is looking for."

In terms of a decision, don't look for this process to be one that drags on too long.

"His plan is to sign early," said Suther of a decision. "I don't see this going to the spring at all."

For Cauley the next trip on the schedule is to Florida, and then other schools will all have the opportunity to take their shot at luring the very talented big man to campus.
