2013 Intro: Brandon Miller

Brandon Miller, a promising 2013 combo guard out of Utah, has a wide variety of schools expressing interest in him...

Brandon Miller, 6-2 JR PG/SG Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton, is one of the better shooters in the West Coast class of 2013 and he's got a chance to play the one or the two in college.

I spoke with Miller recently and he said he's been hearing from a number of schools so far.

"Virginia Tech, Arizona State, Stanford, Colorado, Arizona, Washington, Washington State, BYU, Utah, Utah State, Weber State and Harvard have all been in touch," said Miller.

Miller said that open gym at his school will begin on September 26th and at that time college coaches can some see him work out at his school.

"Virginia Tech, Utah, Utah State, BYU, ASU and Stanford have all said they will be coming out to see me at my school," said Miller.

Miller talked a little about the factors he will consider when he makes his choice.

"I want to play at a high level, at a school with good academics that will set up me for life besides basketball," said Miller. "In terms of basketball, I'd like to play in a program where they get up and down. A winning program is very important. I'd like to play at someplace where they will have a chance at championships."

Miller said he hopes to narrow down his list relatively soon.

"I don't really have any favorites right now," said Miller. "I'm trying to keep all my options open. I'd like to commit early though, hopefully before my senior year."

Miller said he has a cumulative GPA of 3.95.
