Harris meets with Kentucky

Word broke late Monday night that Kentucky had an in-home visit with Gary Harris. How was the visit? What will come of it? Gary Harris Sr. talks to Scout.com.

This week provided a new twist to the Gary Harris recruitment.

Late Monday evening, Gary Harris, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound shooting guard, had an in-home visit with Kentucky, who has recently jumped into his recruitment.

"Last night we hosted John Calipari,Kenny Payne and Orlando Antigua for an in-home visit," Gary Harris Sr. told Scout.com.

"The visit went very well," he added. "Coach Calipari gave us a great presentation on how Gary would fit in with their offense and their program in general."

Currently Harris has visits set up for Purdue the weekend of October 1st and Indiana the weekend of October 15th. Michigan State and Louisville are also involved.

Harris Sr. said they will look into possibly taking a visit to Kentucky in the near future.

"They expressed to us that they like Gary and they want Gary," the elder Harris said. "We will determine if we will take an official visit after this week when I return from business."

Harris is ranked as the No. 2 shooting guard and No. 12 overall in the 2012 recruiting class.
