Malone One To Watch
Marcus Malone, 6-2 JR PG Compton (Calif.) Dominguez, is a solid prospect who might end up playing either guard spot. While not a pure point, Malone has a good feel for the game and sees the court well. He has a nice lefty stroke and is a good, but not great, athlete. Malone has a very good basketball body, with long arms and big feet. We like his upside down the road. We spoke briefly with Malone prior to a spring league game last night and he told us that he's received some interest from Texas Tech, Santa Clara, Oregon and Navy. Malone said he has a 3.2 GPA and will take the SAT in June.
