Some key visits going on this weekend

There are a smaller than normal number of visitors on campus this weekend, but none the less some important trips are being taken.

This weekend is kind of the calm before the storm when it comes to visitors on campus. Next weekend will be when a lot of visits take place, so not many are going down nationally this weekend. However there are still several very important prospects making visits.

The Louisville Cardinals are having a big weekend when it comes to kids on campus. Part of the reason will be the John Lucas Camp is being held in the same city, so kids can bounce from the camp to campus. Also the Cardinals have one very important official visitor on campus.

When it comes to the official visit, Andrew White decided to push up his visit date one week, and now will be in Louisville this weekend. The four-star shooting guard is coming down the home stretch of his recruitment. Following a recent official visit to West Virginia, White is now thinking about making a decision and the Cardinals will have a chance to put their best foot forward.

Also joining White on Louisville's campus, though for much shorter periods of time, will be the nation's No. 1 prospect, Jabari Parker, as well as another 2013 five-star in Troy Williams. Both Parker and Williams will be participating in the John Lucas camp, and then will drop by Louisville. Also it is worth noting that Williams will also be making a visit to the University of Kentucky.

Another school having a big weekend is Tennessee. In fact, this is a huge weekend for the Vols who will be hosting three prospects in an official capacity. Big man Landen Lucas, power player Jarnell Stokes, and point guard Adonis Filer will all be on campus. Stokes is one of the best prospects left on the board, and is a major priority for the Vols. Both Lucas and Filer are three-star players who would add some good depth and skill to the Vols roster if they are indeed able to land their commitments.

Down south two shot blocking specialists will be visiting SEC country. Kansas native Willie Cauley is making is official visit to Alabama while Texas product Prince Ibeh is headed to Arkansas. Cauley has one of the best combinations of athletic ability and size in the class, and is now one of the most heavily recruited players in the nation. Ibeh might be the best overall shot blocker in the class, and his stock soared over the summer. Both are beginning to wind down their visits.

Also out West, Zena Edosomwan will be making a trip to check out the California Golden Bears. Edosomwan is a four-star power forward who is highly skilled. With two visits remaining after this one, the Bears hoping to make a huge impression on a kid who not only has big time ability on the floor, but in the classroom as well.

Next weekend is the biggest visit weekend of the year, but still there is a lot going on this weekend as well.
