Hilltoppers Get No. 2

Darrin Horn's Western Kentucky Hilltoppers signed their second recruit of the spring. Two weeks ago, the program landed Ryan Lambert and this week they went after a point guard.

Western Kentucky and new head coach Darrin Horn signed a junior college point guard this week. Antonio Hayes, a former all-state performer from Mitchell-Baker High in Georgia is the newest Hilltopper.

"Antonio, like Ryan (Lambert), brings great versatility to the floor," Horn said. "He's a point guard with the ability to score points as well."

He averaged 14.6 assists and 7.1 steals per game to lead the NJCAA as a sophomore. The sophomore comes to Western Kentucky from Georgia Perimeter College. Antonio Haynes, a 6-1, 180 pound junior college point guard, signed with Western Kentucky this week. Haynes played his final junior college season at Georgia Perimeter where he averaged and NJCAA high 14.6 assists.
