"It was a good visit," White told Scout.com. "I got to spend a lot of time with coach [Rick] Barnes and coach [Rob] Lanier and the rest of their staff. I really liked the strength and conditioning coach and I really liked their facilities."
"There's a lot of history and a lot of pride around there and that goes for all sports not just basketball. I can tell that team gets a lot of support and they produce a lot of good players. I learned a lot going up there."
White has now taken official visits to Texas, Louisville, Kansas and West Virginia. He also took a recent unofficial to North Carolina State. During the interview White said he's still considering 10 schools, but he opted against giving a list.
White did, however, say that he could make his college choice within the next month.
"I'm just trying to take it one day at a time," he said. "I've been thinking about a decision the past few weeks. I've been talking to my family almost daily and I just want to make sure I don't miss anything."
"I may or may not schedule my fifth visit," White added. "I think I have enough information to make my decision. I don't have a set timetable but I'm almost positive that it'll be less than a month. So maybe it'll be in a couple of weeks."
The first signing period begins November 9th, but that exact date isn't making the Charlottesville (Va.) Miller School standout rush his decision.
"I'm not real concerned about signing early," White said. "I just would like to get my commitment down so that scholarship is available for me. I have a little bit of time, but I haven't thought a whole lot about signing, it's just that commitment is what is important to me."
Virginia Tech is looking to get him on campus prior to White making his choice. White said there is a possibility of that happening, but didn't say it was a definite.
"I've been on the phone with the coaches a lot," White said. "They are trying to set up something to get me down for my last visit. The season is starting up soon, so I don't know how that will work out.
"It's something I'm looking into. They want me to come to campus like a lot of other schools. I haven't planned that fifth visit out. So I'm not sure."
White, Scout.com's No. 52 prospect in the 2012 class, said he has compiled information during his visits and through the process and that he's capable of coming up with his decision.
"I think I have more than enough information to make a good decision," he said. "However, I'm really trying to weight everything out just because there are a lot of schools that have a good situation and a good relationship with me".
