Wallace eliminates school, getting close

Tyrone Wallace is inching closer and closer to a decision, as he's cut a school from his list. Scout.com has the latest.

6-foot-4, 175-pound Bakersfield (Calif.) 2012 point guard Tyrone Wallace is now done with official visits.

His father, Tyrone Wallace, Sr., told Scout.com on Wednesday that his son was no longer considering Oregon, which he was slated to officially visit this weekends.

"We canceled that visit," Wallace, Sr. said.

Now that Oregon is out of the picture, Wallace will likely choose between two schools, his father said.

"He's getting ready to make a choice now," he said. "I think his front-runners are Cal and Colorado. It will probably be one of those two schools. He might still consider Fresno State but I feel like it will be Cal or Colorado."

Wallace, Sr. said that an unofficial to Cal to watch a practice is possible, but that either way the recruitment should be over before long.

"It should be pretty soon here," Wallace, Sr. said. "I don't think he's too far off."
