Tucker Considering Four Schools

Dakarai Tucker, a 2012 wing from Southern California, has four schools on his list, but says he will likely wait until spring to pick a school...

Dakarai Tucker, 6-3 SR SG Gardena (Calif.) Serra, is one of the more promising uncommitted wings in the West Coast class of 2012.

I spoke with Tucker recently and he said that he has a list of four schools.

"I'm looking at Loyola Marymount, Santa Clara, Nevada and St. Mary's," said Tucker.

When asked if any school stands out from the group, Tucker replied, "probably LMU and Nevada."

Tucker has been to LMU and Santa Clara on unofficial visits and I asked for his impression of each school.

"LMU was pretty nice – impressed me," said Tucker. "I liked the staff and they seemed like a second family. Santa Clara had a somewhat small campus, but I liked the gym and I liked the coaches also."

Tucker said he doesn't anticipate a fall decision.

"I'm going to wait until the spring to decide," said Tucker. "I'm going to take my official visits after the season."
