2013 Intro: Tanner Lancona

Tanner Lancona, a junior post prospect from Southern California, says one local schools is high on his list...

Tanner Lancona, 6-7 JR PF Las Flores (Calif.) Tesoro, has several schools in the west expressing interest in him.

"I've been hearing from USC, BYU, Utah State, San Francisco, Cal, Pepperdine and Iowa," said Lancona.

When asked if he has a favorite or dream school, Lancona replied, "USC would probably be my favorite."

I asked Lancona what he's looking for in a school.

"A good relationship with the coaches, how they run the program and academics," said Lancona. "I'm not really concerned about the location if I like the school."

Lancona has been to USC on an unofficial visit and I asked how that trip went.

"I liked it a lot," said Lancona. "I like the way they run practices and I like the coaches."

Lancona said he's planning on taking some more unofficial visits.

"I'm going to Utah State on Nov. 19th," said Lancona. "I was supposed to go to USF and Cal last week, but I had two tests that I couldn't miss. But I will go up there later."

Lancona said he hasn't given much thought as to when he might choose a school. He said he has a 3.0 GPA.
