Maryland Lands Athletic Forward

Nik Caner-Medley turned heads last week at the adidas ABCD Camp. This talented athlete from Maine then opted to end his recruitment by making a commitment to play for Gary Williams and the Maryland Terrapins.

Caner-Medley To College Park

Nik Caner-Medley, a small forward from Portland (ME) Deering, committed to Maryland last weekend. Joseph Medley, Nik's father, told BlueChipHoops that his son wished to stay on the East Coast, wanted to play in the ACC and live near an urban area.

Caner-Medley selected Maryland over Missouri, UConn, Kansas and Virginia. Each school had offered the already qualified Caner-Medley a scholarship and it was his superior athleticism that really caught the eye of college recruiters.

Maryland already has a commitment from SG Chris McCray who attended the Nike Camp last week. Expect the Terps to continue a push for PG John Gilchrist and PG Deron Williams among others.
