Offers Roll In For Anderson

Like many members of the Class of 2001, Rashad Anderson went camping in July with a goal. He wanted to let everyone know just how talented he is. After Nike Camp, there's little doubt that everyone has a good idea of his skill level.

Anderson Receiving Offers

Lakeland (FL) Kathleen SG Rashad Anderson was one of a handful of guys who exploded onto the scene at Nike Camp. It's not that no one knew of Anderson, because they did. It was more a case of Anderson getting a chance to be in the spotlight. He wasn't the most active player this spring and summer, but he didn't waste his chance at Nike.

Now, the recruiting interest is starting to peak. "Oh, my God. It's ridiculous now," Anderson said. "A lot of hard work is paying off. Yeah, you could say I did a little something at camp."

Anderson says that since Nike Camp, he has received offers from UConn, Texas, Temple, St. John's, Florida State, Alabama and Miami-FL. He says that Duke called his mother on Sunday.

"I was smoking at Nike. Everybody was wondering who this guy was."

Last year, Anderson averaged 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists at one of the top programs in Florida. He'll play at the AAU Nationals with the Tallahassee Wildcats later in the month.
