One day later, it appears that the 6-foot-3, 175-pound Seattle Rainier Beach 2012 combo guard should now be listed as a Kansas commit.
Adams says that he spoke with Kansas head coach Bill Self on Sunday morning and that he accepted Adams' verbal commitment.
The result of their conversation, Adams said, is "the verbal being official. That's where I will be attending (college) next year."
Adams can't sign a Letter of Intent with Kansas until the spring, so the Jayhawks staff will be able to monitor Adams' academic process over the next several months to make sure he is on pace to qualify for KU.
Until then, however, Kansas has in fact accepted his verbal commitment and Adams will play his 2011-12 season at Rainier Beach as a future Jayhawk.
