"For one," Price said, "it's in a good conference. They told me I have a good chance of coming in and getting a lot of minutes early. It's close to home and my dad can come to most of the homes games."
Can't argue with those reasons.
Price is a scorer and he'll be a good fit for the Boilermakers. He can handle the ball in a pinch and he can certainly get to the rim. Last season at O'Fallon, he scored 18.9 points a game.
The recruit cited a good relationship with Boilermakers' assistant Cuonzo Martin as a major factor in his decision. "Me and Cuonzo got pretty close."
The St. Louis Eagles, Price's AAU team, is one of the top programs in the nation. They've been on the cusp of winning a major tournament this year. "Once we get all our stuff together … I think we can do it."
