2013 Intro: Sam Finley

Sam Finley is one of the more intriguing guards in the 2013 class. He's already hearing from a group of West Coast schools. Here's where his recruitment stands as of now.

The West Coast has several 2013 guards receiving recruiting attention and one player in that group in line for more attention is 6-foot-1, 180-pound Corona (Calif.) Centennial combo guard Sam Finley.

Finley already has scoring outputs of 24, 35, 25 and 24 this season, which is no surprise considering his shooting ability and quickness.

Thus far, Finley has heard from a handful of schools.

"I've talked to San Francisco, Pacific, U.C. Irvine and I just spoke with USC the other day," Finley said.

Finley says his desire to win is one of his best attributes.

"I'm quick and athletic," he said. "I try to do whatever it takes to win."

Becoming more of a point guard is a goal for Finley moving forward.

"I'm working on my decision making," he said. "I'm trying to see my teammates more and get them more involved in the game."
