Meeks discusses recruitment

Following his game at the National Hoops Festival, Kennedy Meeks updated his recruitment with

Kennedy Meeks knows what he is looking for in a school.

It's simple really. The 6-foot-8, 255-pound big man wants to play for a school that gets the ball to their big men.

"A school that feeds the big men, is like a family, focuses on defense first and likes to win," Meeks responded when asked about his criteria for a school.

Currently Meeks has a number of schools recruiting him. He said the entire ACC has offered except for Duke and North Carolina. He also mentioned Georgetown, South Carolina and Syracuse.

Meeks, who took a visit to UNC for an exhibition game early in the year, said the Tar Heels are starting to turn up their attention.

"It's very strong right now," he said of UNC's interest. "They've been calling every other week to check in on me."

"[They are saying] that they are going to be in the picture," he added. "Roy Williams told me they usually wouldn't offer until the end so I'm just waiting."

Georgetown also appears to be heavily involved. Meeks said he took a recent trip to their campus as well.

"It was good," he said of the visit.

"They are [involved]," Meeks said. "They were on me before Carolina."

Meeks is ranked No. 15 overall in the 2013 class.
