2014 Intro: Bear Henderson

One of the more productive sophomores in the Los Angeles area is Bishop Alemany's Bear Henderson. Here's an intro to his game and recruitment.

Bear Henderson is off to a good start in his sophomore season on a talented Mission Hills (Calif.) Bishop Alemany squad.

The 6-foot-5, 190-pound 2014 small forward is happy with how his second year in high school is going.

"The season has gone really well," Henderson said. "The team and I have been practicing really hard. The hard work has been paying off."

A strong sophomore who uses his physical frame well around the basket, Henderson is happy with several aspects of his game.

"My biggest strengths are pushing the ball, rebounding, midrange game, one-dribble pull-up and wing skills," he said.

Henderson has some parts of his game he's working hard at improving.

"I'm working on my right and my lateral movement because I know at the next level I might play some shooting guard. I'm also working on my basketball IQ," Henderson said.

So far, Henderson has heard from local Pac-12 programs UCLA and USC, which he's happy about considering the fact that location will play a role in his recruitment.

"I want to stay within the city," he said.
