But Torian Graham bucked that trend on Thursday, giving a verbal pledge to Mark Gottfried and North Carolian State. Graham was scheduled to take a visit to the school during the day.
"I just felt it was the right time," Graham told Scout.com about his decision to commit.
"They had faith in me and never gave up on me," he added.
Graham becomes the fourth member of N.C. State's 2012 recruiting class. All four prospects rank among the nation's top 100 prospects.
"I just feel it's a good situation," Graham said. "I love N.C. State at heart. I went with my heart."
Graham is ranked No. 51 overall in the 2012 recruiting class.
