On the recruiting front, Pierce said he is hearing from the likes of Indiana, Arizona State, Oregon, Texas and DePaul, while he also said he's been contacted by Kentucky. He said that both ASU and DePaul had offered him a scholarship, and that coaches from both of those two schools as well as Oregon and Oklahoma State came by Fremont High School to watch Pierce work out during the April evaluation period.
"But I think it's still really early and I don't really have a favorite," Pierce said.
Pierce also said he does have a loose time frame to make a commitment. "I'd like to start taking my official visits in August and then make my decision by November."
According to Pierce, he has a 3.3 GPA and scored an 840 on the SAT.
