Singletary Sorts Through Process

Sean Singletary has a lot on his plate. He's nursing a shoulder injury. He's busy with camps and AAU ball. Could he possibly fit in some summer visits?

Sean Singletary started the spring off with a bang. However, as of late, he's been banged up. The Penn Charter point guard is nursing a shoulder injury that seems to keep nagging him.

"I feel a little better," Singletary said. "I'm going to the doctor on Friday." The guard is concerned that it could be a situation involving the rotator cuff. He'll know soon.

Meanwhile on the recruiting front, there's been little new information. Virginia, Kansas, Indiana and Ohio State are the main schools. Virginia still holds a slight leads; they've been around the longest.

"I've been talking to Connecticut recently but I don't know how far that will go."

In a perfect world, Singletary would probably the official visit trail. However, that's unlikely to happen. "I'm not going to take [official visits] this spring. I'm going to wait until the summer and take some in the fall. I have a lot of exams and I don't want to miss anything. We get out later than everybody."

The guard might wind up taking some unofficials in June but likely August. If that's the case, Kansas and Virginia are in the best position to receive unofficial visits.

Still, Singletary wants to see campuses dotted with students so he'd like to make official trips early in the fall to get the feel for the schools.

We think Sean is going to stick to his plan unless he really feels that other prospects are strongly considering the school/schools that he likes best. If that were the case, he might get proactive so that he doesn't lose and opportunity to attend the college of his choice.
